Please find below details of when the club meets. For a calendar of future events and discussion of races and other member items,
please consult the
calendar and forums page.
The club normally meets on Monday, Wednesdays and Saturdays. We use Richmond Park all year round (except when the park is shut for culling etc). Running at night in the winter
is possible as there is enough light to safely run along the park roads which are of course closed to traffic then. Alternative
arrangements will be posted on this site when applicable.
On a Monday
evening starting at 7.30 p.m. from Sheen Gate of Richmond Park there is a social run where runners generally run in a group of their own ability.
The runs are normally either 5 or 7.5 miles. The 5 mile route is the "ballet school" loop, the 7.5 mile route is a full lap of Richmond Park.
Sometimes a shorter loop of around 3.5 miles is run at a slower pace for newer runners. Those interested in joining the club should come along to this run first. We will always
arrange for new runners to be put in a group of similar speed and everyone is accompanied for the runs, finishing again at Sheen Gate.
On a Wednesday at 7.45 p.m. from Sheen Gate we normally have a coached running session in Richmond Park.
Training is led by either Charlie Eldred, the club chairman or one of the other experienced members of the club.
For Monday and Wednesday sessions, changing and showers are available at Shene Sports Centre, which is within the grounds of Shene School, Hertford Avenue, East Sheen, London, SW14 8EE Tel and Fax: 0208 878 7107. The School is on the right hand side of the road if coming off the south circular (A205) and is opposite the allotments. The hard surface pitches of the centre can be seen from Hertford Avenue.

During the winter cross-country season and at other times there are also Saturday morning track or speed sessions.
During deer culling or for other reasons times or venues of the above may have to be altered.

the benefits to club members, click here.
On some Sundays there are races (Cross Country between November and February, road races in spring and summer). On other Sundays particularly during the
winter longer runs may be organised. These will start between 9-10 a.m.. Meeting for departure to club races is generally between 9-9.30 a.m.. Details
will be posted on this site.
