A general discussion was held to address safety while running.
The following ground rules were agreed -
1. No one is ever left to run on their own. Faster runners should do double backs to stay with slower runners.
2. At the start of a run, runners should agree their route and stick to it.
3. Be safe be seen. Bob to buy a set of flashing dog collars to ensure no-one gets lost in the dark.
4. Bright clothing will reduce danger of being hit by a bike.
5. Runners should wait at the gate to ensure all are back safe from their runs.
3 Recruitment and retention
Jane to redesign old shufflers poster and circulate to running shops. Charlie asked us all to ensure new runners are welcomed to training sessions. New improved website should encourage more members to join. It was suggested an article could be placed in Richmond Focus and other free rags to recruit new members.
